Highly Anticipated Hightails
Share
Inspired by the four designers that participated in Black Market's Capsule Collection with Patricia Field, this luscious list will have your licking your lips for more.
The Eight Arms Hightail: Bold, abstract, and layered like a PJ Linden creation. This one's got complexity that hits from multiple angles. Dragon fruit turns it bright pink, activated charcoal adds depth, and the layers create something three-dimensional in a glass.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 oz Black Market
- 1 oz Dragon Fruit Puree (or muddle fresh dragon fruit)
- 0.5 oz Lime Juice
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- 1/8 tsp Activated Charcoal Powder
- 3 oz Coconut Water
- Ice
- Dragon fruit slice and lime wheel for garnish
PREPARATION
Muddle dragon fruit or use puree. Add Black Market, lime juice, simple syrup, and coconut water to shaker with ice. Shake well. In a separate glass, mix activated charcoal with a splash of water to create a dark layer at the bottom. Strain the pink mixture over the charcoal layer. Don't stir—let the layers speak for themselves. Garnish with dragon fruit and lime.

The Bee Dazzled Hightail: Maximalist sparkle in liquid form. This one doesn't do subtle—it does honey, bubbles, and enough crystal sugar on the rim to turn heads. It's playful, glamorous, and completely over the top. Exactly what chelle bee would want.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 oz Black Market
- 0.75 oz Honey Syrup (equal parts honey and hot water, stirred until dissolved)
- 0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
-3 oz Sparkling Water
- Ice
- Large crystal sugar for rim
- Edible gold glitter (optional)
- Honeycomb and lemon twist for garnish
PREPARATION
Rim a coupe glass with honey and press into large crystal sugar. In a shaker, combine Black Market, honey syrup, and lemon juice with ice. Shake until cold. Strain into prepared glass. Top with sparkling water. Add a tiny pinch of edible gold glitter if you're feeling it. Garnish with honeycomb and lemon twist. Shine on!
The Chain Reaction Hightail: A thousand-year-old art form meets modern precision. This one's built like chainmail: light, refined, and impossible to ignore. The designers drink Black Market with kombucha, so that's what this is. Elderflower keeps it sophisticated. Ginger kombucha adds complexity. Free Maison would approve. Â
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 oz Black Market
- 0.5 oz Elderflower Syrup
- 0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 3 oz Ginger Kombucha
- Ice
- Edible silver leaf for garnish (optional but worth it)
- Lemon twist
PREPARATION
Combine Black Market, elderflower syrup, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a champagne flute or coupe. Top with ginger kombucha. Garnish with a lemon twist and for optional flair, an edible silver leaf. The silver leaf's not required, but if you're going for the full metallic effect, it's the move.
The Drip: Dark, moody, and built for underground nightlife. This one's named for Kristina Kiss's signature silicone drips. Blackberry and activated charcoal turn it ink-black, while syrup drips down the inside of the glass gives you that SSIK aesthetic. Pour it when the lights go down.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 oz Black Market
- 1 oz Blackberry Puree (muddle fresh blackberries)
- 0.5 oz Lime Juice
- 0.5 oz Maple Syrup
- 1/8 tsp Activated Charcoal Powder
- Ice
- Blackberries for garnish
FOR THE DRIP
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup mixed with a tiny pinch of activated charcoal
PREPARATION
First, create the drip: Mix maple syrup with activated charcoal until dark. Using a spoon, drizzle the mixture down the inside of a rocks glass, letting it drip naturally.
In a shaker, muddle blackberries. Add Black Market, lime juice, maple syrup, activated charcoal, and ice. Shake hard. Strain over fresh ice into the prepared glass. Garnish with blackberries and enjoy those lip-licking luscious drips.
